Cheer on the Tornado Football team tonight at 7pm (Middle School 4:30). Remember to social distance and face masks are recommended. The game will be live streamed off Facebook Live from the Centerville School page.
Yesterday, will walked back into the classroom for the first time since leaving school abruptly on March 13, 2020 due to the coronavirus. Students ended the year in a remote learning environment, missing out on important face-to-face instruction and relationships with teachers and friends.
As students and staff return to school this fall, they will bring their collective experiences with them and make a fresh start.
As we prepare to greet them, we are asking our entire community to come together to support our staff and our students with the message that no matter the learning space - we are ALL in this “together.” Hang a royal blue ribbon in your window. Write “together” in window paint. Decorate your home and office to show support. Let staff and students know you’re standing by them. You care about them. You wish them success.
We know school won’t look and feel exactly the same this year.
But, school is still school – a place where hope and possibility meet for a bright future.
We are better “together.”

In order to help a few teams fill their schedule we will have a slight change in our football schedule. We will play Alcester-Hudson on August 28th at Alcester. Our bye week will now be September 4th.

Open House: As a district, we are preparing for the return of our students and the start of the 2020-2021 school year. The pandemic and Covid-19 have required us to change how we handle a variety of items within our district. Open house is very popular and draws a large crowd for us. To help reduce the number of people we have in a classroom or our building at once we are spacing the open house out. We will have our back to school open house on Monday, August 17th from 10:00am-8:00pm. We are asking families to sign up for a 25-minute time slot, we are allowing 6 families per slot. If you and your family are able to attend during the day, we ask that you sign for a day time slot. We have many families that will need an evening time slot because of work and travel. Our open house will be for our preschoolers through eighth grade students. Our high school students have separate registration times. Please sign up using the Google Doc link below with your family name and grade levels (Knight (Nash K, Ellie 4, Boche 6, Luke 8). Any high school student interested in cheer leading for the 2020-21 season, tryouts will be Wednesday, August 5 at 8 am in the Gold Gym. Please enter through the west gym entrance. We will learn a cheer which will be performed and every athlete will be required to execute two cheer jumps of choice.
Good Afternoon; as a part of open house our 6th graders will be required to attend a middle school orientation. We have three different 1-hour time slots for people to sign up. As we move forward and start planning the fall sports season, I have a few updates for you. Football will start August 6th. Volleyball and Cross Country will start August 13th. All 6-12 grade student athlete wishing to participate are required to have a physical on file with the school. Pioneer Memorial will be offering physical Thursday, July 30th for $30 from 8:30-11:00 am in the school commons.
