Hello all,

Coach Morphew here and I'm so excited to start this next Cross Country season! A big thanks to Coach Eide for everything she has done for this program and continues to do for our community and school! You will be missed at 6:00 am practices!

I want to schedule a fun run on Thursday, 7/17 at 10 AM, for any 6th-12th students interested in going out for Cross Country next year. Let's meet at the park south of the track. This will be your first chance to get some miles under our shoes and see where we stand this year! I look forward to working with you and helping you reach your goals!

The QR code is for our Band chat. Most of our team communication will happen there! Runners and their parents are encouraged to use this app to keep up to date with the team!

With July comes a change in administration. We would like to thank Mr. Fischer for his time at Centerville and welcome Mr. Edberg into his new role as Superintendent! Mr. Edberg is a Centerville graduate who came back to teach in 2010 and later moved into the role of Principal and Athletics Director. His dedication to our school is unmatched and we are excited to see him continue the success of the Centerville School District as Superintendent and Athletics Director!

5/22/25: Good luck to the golf team as they head to Dell Rapids for the Region golf contest 9 am tee time. They will have the opportunity to advance to the State Golf Meet in Watertown June 2nd and 3rd. 11 am the track team will be in Vermillion to have one last opportunity to secure a spot in the top 24 to move on to the State track meet. State track will be in Sioux Falls at Howard Wood field on May 29, 30, 31. Good luck to all the athletes and coaches. Go Tornadoes!!

Yearbooks for order! We've had several students working hard on this year's Yearbook. Yearbooks cost $30 and can be ordered with the attached form. Forms can be picked up at the school office. Forms and money should be returned to the office to secure your Yearbook. Reach out to Mr. DeJong at tate.dejong@k12.sd.us with any questions.

Unfortunately, we are going to have to cancel the elementary field day that is scheduled for this afternoon. While the additional moisture we have received is much needed, it has made the area to wet to be used.

The softball game is canceled for tonight. The fields are under water, and we want to keep players safe.
