Congratulations to all the 2-5th girls and 2nd boys for winning all their games opening weekend of Big Sioux League. High School Basketball teams travel to Estelline tonight. The games will be as follows: 4 pm JV Girls 5 pm JV Boys Varsity girls then boys. Good Luck Tornadoes!!!

The junior's babysitting fundraising event has been cancelled due to lack of interest.

Each month the NHS students choose a staff member of the Centerville School District for "Educator of the Month," for the previous month. Educators are chosen for their commitment to scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Attached is a picture NHS member Blake Johnson presenting the certificate to Judy Hunnicutt (not pictured: Alyssa Brandsrud, Haley Meyer, Tori Herrboldt). Congratulations to Mrs. Hunnicutt for being chosen by the NHS to be November’s Educator of the Month! We appreciate all the time, effort, and contributions that she has made to the Centerville School District.

Due to the low visibility and added snow, the Centerville School District will have a 10:00am start today, Monday, December 9th. Drive Safe!

The Elementary Christmas concert is tonight at 7pm in the gold gym. Kindergarten through 4th grade students are asked to report to their classroom at 6:45. Concert attire is appreciated.

Our Oral Interp students had a great day yesterday at the competition at Mount Marty. There were two round in which they had to perform their pieces and try to score high enough to make the final round. Well, they all made finals!! Addyson Brandsrud made finals with her serious piece but unfortunately did not place. However it was a big deal to even make finals! The Reader’s theater team of Cole, Luke, Jaelynn, Averie and Anna scores 1st place in each of the first two rounds to make finals. They performed really well and earned 2nd place beating out around 11 other schools (from class B, A and even AA)!!! If you see any of these students today please tell them congratulations!

The Junior Class is hosting a parents night out babysitting event. They will be babysitting on December 14th from 5:00-9:00 pm. Waivers are due back by December 11th. If you have questions, please contact Tiffany.Davis@k12.sd.us

Honor Band scheduled for tomorrow in Yankton has been called off due to concerning travel and weather.
