There is confusion about tomorrow's game. Some are advertising it incorrectly. With the shortage of football officials this year the game 9/24 will start at 3 pm vs Colman-Egan @ Colman. If a student wants to leave at 1:30 pm to cheer on the team it will be an excused absence if parents notify the school. Hope that clears things up. Go Tornadoes!!!

Centerville Families: We would like you to be aware of a concerning trend that has turned up in local schools. A challenge on the social media platform TikTok encourages students to steal or destroy items at school and then post a picture or video of the item as a “trophy.” Centerville and schools across the country are noting this concerning behavior. Theft and vandalism have school consequences that include suspensions, financial restitution, and the loss of privileges. These cases will also be referred to our school resource officer and the Turner County Sheriff’s Department for charges. Please talk with your student(s) about this trend and make your expectations known to them. We have beautiful facilities in our district and many hard-working staff who take pride in keeping them maintained for our benefit. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our schools and students safe!

September 9, 2021 CHS Parents: The Post Prom Committee Needs Your Help! All CHS parents are invited to attend a meeting on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 7:00pm in the Centerville School Library, Conference Room. Recognizing the potential dangers of prom night, parents of CHS students sponsor an After Prom party, which follows prom and the school dance. The After Prom festivities are not sponsored by the school district. Statistics show that Prom is one of the most dangerous times for teens. This special night provides a safe, alcohol-free, drug-free and fun environment for our students to spend the night after prom with friends. All CHS students and their dates are invited to attend the After Prom party. If a high school student does not attend prom they are still welcome to attend the After Prom party. Many school communities require the junior class parents plan and organize After Prom activities. CHS has not enforced this so it is imperative that we try to get a strong planning committee in place. Fundraising is never an easy task but we need to discuss whether we want to charge students to attend or how parents wish to proceed with many of these topics. Prom is scheduled on Saturday, March 26, 2022.
