CDCdonation

Jared Hybertson the director of the Centerville Development Corporation presented Superintendent Eric Knight with a $50,000 donation to the crow’s nest project.

The Centerville Development Corporation was founded in the 1970s, in 1999 it became an official non-profit organization. They have many community development accomplishments. Potentially the biggest splash, the Development Corporation took on was the purchase, revitalization, and selling of the care center. The Development Corporation has used the turnaround profits from the sale of the care center to reinvest in economic development within our community. In the last 5 years, they have been a pivotal partner with the Centerville School District. Their donation and partnership to jump-start an education foundation has provided almost $10,000 in classroom grants for the district’s teachers.

In 2021, the Centerville Development Corporation challenged the school to a fundraising match. If the school could raise $50,000 in donations, the Development Corporation would match with $50,000 for building a new crow’s nest, restroom, concession, and storage facility. Through a fantastic fundraising campaign, the school was able to raise $66,890. Thank you to all those that donated to this fantastic project. You can see all the donors posted on the north side of our new building. Thank you to the Centerville Development Corporation for the donation and continued support of the Centerville School District.
